I have not posted much because I have not been in class much the last month. I have had a harsh and long-lasting bout of sciatica and, at times, I had trouble walking.
I went to class last night because I thought I would be able to participate if I took it easy. Well, easy was still too hard. Lots of pain, limping, and tears (on the inside).
However, it did prove that I am not lazy, I am just injured.
I just started BJJ at 45 years old. I have lots of martial arts experience and did some BJJ several years ago. I normally dictate the posts to my phone immediately after class when I am barely conscious from exertion and then edit later.
Hang in there Aaron, you are courageous beyond belief. You showing up is the mental challenge and you overcame that.
