I'm back baby!

So I took two weeks off due to the heat and on the recommendation of my doc. I have a history of heart problems and I have to be a little careful. Unfortunately, I did NO exercise that whole time.

My whole damned body locked up. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't walk erect. My hip hurt.

Anyway, I have come back to two classes since then. The first one kinda sucked. My rib muscles tighten up and I can't properly breathe. When I exercise hard or a regular basis, they get stretched. It takes a class or so to get them to stretch.

Last night was much better. We have been working take-downs pretty consistently lately. We worked a blast double (A good street takedown, BTW) and the fallen pulled us into guard and went for an armbar. We worked a stack escape, and then they worked a spinning under re-counter. it was slick.

I almost americana'd skippy, dude, I am so bad with names. The guy who likes to swim. Tim? No. He said I almost had it, but I could not get him flattened out and his other hand off to kill his defense.

I was wiped when we started to roll, and that tired, no energy, relaxed, rubbery state always serves me well.
